GlaxoSmithKline - via agency
In 2012, Christopher Allen (Chief Instructor), was joined by two assistant instructors to take part in an amazing meeting at the Sofitel Hotel at Heathrow Airports Terminal 5 building. AS Creative booked Corporate Martial Arts to attend the meeting they were organising on behalf of GlaxoSmithKline.
GlaxoSmithKline had invited representatives from Asia and ROW countries to join them for a "Global Breakfast" ahead of 3 days of business meetings, networking and cultural events. Corporate Martial Arts was booked to deliver two workshops for the entire audience, Tai Chi and Kickboxing. The first display was lead by Christopher and consisted of a Tai Chi form and various Qigong positions on stage, with the assistants helping delegates to follow the instruction.
The second display took place at the end of the meeting and coiincided nicely with the theme of the meeting of figthing the competition and achieving targets.
Christopher again took the stage followed by Joe and Paula who held various pieces of equipment for Chris to attack with his kickboxing techniques, they also attacked Chris with Knives and guns, which he defended with great flair. Chris ended the demonstration with board breaking techniques which really excited the delegates. To end his time on stage, Chris encouraged the delegates to adopt a kickboxing stance and went through a Kickboxercise routine which saw the delegates kicking and punching the air, shouting and generally having a great time. Everone left smiling and many delegates approached the Corporate Martial Arts team with high fives and hand shakes etc.
Boxwood - where it all began
In 2007 Boxwood contacted us to find out if we could send along an instructor to teach their representatives some tai chi and kickboxing. This was the start of an amazing business relationship and the reason why we founded Corporate Martial Arts.
Long term client Boxwood Ltd, an ever growing international consultancy firm based in London with over 100 members of staff booked Corporate Martial Arts again to support their foundation training course for new employee's. The course took place this time at Latimer Conference Centre near Chesham, Bucks.
Paul Oakes, one of the leaders of the foundation course said, "Integrating exercise into our foundation training course is a key component and something which all new employees look forward to. The aim being to give new recruits an active lesson in the need to maintain a work life balance, starting with the training course. Chris Allen and the team at Corporate Martial Arts provided us with two very professional early morning sessions, Kick Boxing and Tai Chi , which see's the delegates arrive in the training room enthused and charged with energy having tried something new".
Since 2007 Corporate Martial Arts has worked with Boxwood Ltd over 12 times and our co-operation looks set to continue well into the future.
